Gorgeous pen and ink study of the famous marble statue at the Vatican entitled "Gruppo del Laocoonte." Set in an 1830 Charles X frame with original bronze details, it depicts the Trojan Laooconte from Virgils's Aeneid being attacked by sea serpents.
