Pair of Armchairs by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina

Stunning model 849 lounge chairs designed by Gianfranco Frattini and manufactured by Cassina, Italy 1956. These amazing chairs have a solid walnut wooden frame which is very straight forward. The beauty in these chairs is the contrast between the clean lined frames and the utterly organic seats. The wooden frames are super straight and minimalistic, where the upholstered seats have a beautiful and comfortable appearance. The curved arms falling over the wooden structure, its an absolute delight to look at them. The chairs are super comfortable and are reupholstered in an off white flat bouclé fabric which makes the walnut frames really stand out, its a fantastic contrast. The walnut frames are fully restored and in excellent condition again as well.
